The Dakota Project

My dear friend, Dakota Frank, died in October of 2018 from complications stemming from spina bifida. He was 40 years old. I’d been his friend since 2001.

The entire time I knew him, he was an absolute champion of being cheerful, positive and grounded through hardships that would have destroyed a lesser person. He was incredibly spiritual, and wrote daily prayers for his friends on Facebook as well as designing a set of Prayer Cards using some of my artwork. His sense of humor was also unsinkable; his Patient’s Log collection is a laugh riot.

In his honor, I’m collecting his work and publishing it as well as I can. All the proceeds will go to the Spina Bifida Association.

As he would have said…May It Be.

Meanwhile, there is an inventory of prayer card pouches, necklaces, prayer magnets and such, and I’ll be selling them here as long as they last. I will always be grateful for the privilege of being his friend and collaborator. And I hope to bring joy to others through his memory and creations.

As he would have said…May It Be.
