The project is this:
I have painted each of the 118 elements of the Periodic Table as fantasy creatures. The reactive gases are all fairies; the noble gases are dragons. Everybody’s image is full of clues as to their nature and location and chemical properties. I am super excited to show you the whole collection as a poster, in Periodic Table form, which is available to purchase in my shop. As are the individuals, if you have a favorite.
It is also an oracle card deck, similar to Tarot but at the same time utterly unique. There is a Book of the Cards, telling you how to read each card metaphysically while on the adjacent page giving a ton of information on the science and history.
This has been my biggest ever project. It took me 18 months to finish the paintings, and another 18 months to complete the book. I produced it using a Kickstarter, which means that we will certainly run out of stock someday soon. What happens then—another Kickstarter, a contract with a publisher, or some other miracle to keep the Mendelevian Oracle alive—you know as well as I.
