The project is this:
I have painted all of the 118 elements of the Periodic Table as fantasy creatures. The reactive gases are all fairies; the noble gases are dragons. The alkali metals are trolls, alkali earth metals are goblins, rare earths are frogs and toads. Everybody’s image is full of clues as to their nature and location and chemical properties. I am super excited to show you the whole collection as a poster, in Periodic Table form, which is available to purchase in the shop. As are the individual prints, if you have a favorite.
It is an oracle card deck, similar to Tarot but at the same time totally unique. There is a Book of the Cards, telling you how to read each card metaphysically while on the adjacent page giving a dose of information on the science and history.
It took me 18 months to finish the paintings, and another 18 months to complete the book. You can preorder the set in my shop, and use them as flashcards to learn chemistry, or oracle cards to embrace magic, or even just as character ideas for your next TTRPG campaign.
